Wine TastingsFíon Tasting An annual benefit event in August for CelticFest Mississippi. Get the details for this year's tasting at the CelticFest MS website. The Fíon Tasting, now in its third year, was designed to be the wine tasting for the common wallet -- for regular folks, with a relaxed format. This is not a formal sit-down sampling, but a casual, arrive-when-you-like wine tasting. As you walk through, you will taste wines from around the world in varying styles and colors. Hors d’ oeuvres will also be available to cleanse the palette. Tickets are $15 for CHS members and $20 for non-members. Contact Wine and Spirits in the Quarter at (601) 366-6644 for details. "Fíon" is Irish Gaelic for 'wine'. Sponsored by Wine and Spirits in the Quarter and by Fenian's Pub.
Blás an Erraigh Imagine the Fíon Tasting, but in the cool spring... That is the Blás an Erraigh Wine Tasting, the first taste of Spring. We decided such a good thing should not be limited to once a year.
The annual Irish Whiskey and Scotch Tasting Benefit
There's no other event like it in Mississippi! If you didn't know that there was much more to appreciating whiskey than just adding Coke, coffee, or ice, or even if you are a well-tempered connoisseur of the amber aqua vitae, you will learn volumes, and of course grow as a person, at the 9th Annual Irish Whiskey and Scotch Tasting. The best whiskey tasting in the South!
